The Mortgage Climate Action Group, now the Green Mortgage Advice Initiative, held its first event, open to attendees from across the sector, on Thursday the 4th of August.
Launched in April 2022, MCAG acts as a source of support for intermediaries, helping them to understand, and address, green issues when dealing with mortgage applications, and ensuring that advisers’ interests are represented among lenders, regulators, trade bodies and government institutions. Since launch, the founding partners of the Group – Legal & General, Sesame Bankhall Group, and SimplyBiz Mortgages – have been joined by other leading names from across the industry, including HL Partnership, Mortgage Intelligence, PRIMIS Mortgage Network, The Openwork Partnership and Paradigm Mortgage Services.
Following the event, MCAG issued a series of training materials aimed towards giving advisers a voice in achieving a Net Zero Future. Access the training modules here.
